Winter ride to see Dan at REI-Paramus

Cruising through the FDU campus, I stopped to take a photo.  Check out the wall of snow behind me!

Then I heading up to REI-Paramous passing through Hackensack...

I got to talk bikes with Dan and the REI crew.  I know Dan from the time I worked at Steve's Moped.  Steve's is a starting point for a lot of NJ bike industry people...  I feel like everyone got started fixing bikes there.

Dan, is now the head bike tech at REI.  He is totally stoked about Novara's new ride.  Dan said, "Its like a car".  You get lights, racks, automatic transmission (or close to it), and fenders.  All standard.

The Novara Gotham Bike - 2014.  Here are some highlights:

Smooooth....  CVT belt driven gears (well, no gear actually!)

No gears and no chain, mean no grease!....  the evolution of biking comfort is here.

"Timing Belt" sound familiar?  The belt drive is the same type of belt you find in a automotive engine.

Oh!!! and hydraulic brakes...  no cables.
